About Zijun (Eric) Xu

I'm Zijun (Eric) Xu, a Mechanical Engineering student pursuing a combined Master's in Robotics at Johns Hopkins University. I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Shanghai. I'm interested in robotics, particularly designing and iterating on physical systems that combine mechanical design and intelligent control.

Outside of engineering, I play piano and sing. I'm a member of The Vocal Chords a cappella group and I take voice lessons at The Peabody Conservatory. I also love to be outdoors. I'm an instructor with the Johns Hopkins Outdoors Club, mainly leading caving, mountain biking, and rock climbing.
